Lancer

Starting Benefits

Spear Charge

When you make a Melee Attack with a Polearm against a Target immediately after moving into a Space Adjacent to them, the Attack will cause Additional Damage equal to your Speed Bonus.

You cannot use this Benefit against the same Target more than once per Turn.

If you Moved as a Result of a Mount of Vehicle you were riding, use their Speed Bonus instead of your own for determining the Damage caused by this Benefit.

Polearms Training

You become Skilled in Polearms and one other Weapon Type of your choice.

If you are already Skilled in Polearms, you can instead choose any two Weapon Types.

Weapons Types include Axes, Bows, Clubs, Daggers, Guns, Improvised, Polearms, Shields, Swords and Whips.

Progression Benefits

Spear Sweep (Combo)

As a Combo, you can use a Polearm to make a Skill Action to make an Athletics with Might or Dexterity Skill Check to Knock Prone an Adjacent Character and an Attack Action to make a Melee Attack against an Adjacent Target.

You can use these Actions in any order, and you can choose to Target the same Target or two different Targets with these Actions.

The Skill Check is Opposed by the Target’s Might or Dexterity with Athletics Skill Check.

The Performance of your Skill Check may result in Benefits or Detriments of the GM’s choosing.

Nimble Thrust

You may treat any Polearm as having the Finesse Property.

Double Thrust (Combo)

As a Combo you may make two Attacks, provided both Attacks use a Polearm.

Spear Rush (Combo)

As a Combo, you may use the Move Action to Move towards a Target, followed by an Attack Action to make a Melee Attack with a Polearm against the same Target.

You cannot use the Movement granted by this Combo after making the Melee Attack granted by this Combo.

Spear Wall

When a Character enters a Space Adjacent to you, you may as a Reaction make a Melee Attack against them with a Polearm.

Lance Dance (Combo)

As a Combo, you can use the Attack Action a number of times equal to or less than your Speed Bonus.

Each Attack Action granted by this Combo must be made against a different Target, and must be a Melee Attack with a Polearm.

You cannot use other Actions or Reactions between the Attacks of this Combo.

If an Attack granted by this Combo is a Critical Hit, instead of gaining an Extra Attack the Target takes Additional Damage equal to the Polearm’s Damage Rating.

Impale (Technique)

When you make a Melee Attack with Polearm, you may declare you are using the Impale Technique.

If the Performance of the Attack is Strong, and the Target takes Damage from the Attack, then they become Grappled by you.

You cannot use the Polearm used for this Attack while you maintain the Grapple.
